Buying & installing Skills
SkillKit gives you two ways to access premium Skills. A single purchase grants you that one Skill forever — the install prompt stays valid across versions, and a future price change never affects an existing purchase. A Pro membership unlocks unlimited installs across the entire premium catalog while your subscription is active, which quickly pays for itself if you install more than a few Skills a month. Free Skills require neither: press Install, copy the package, done.
The purchase flow is deliberately short. On a detail page, the Buy button shows the final price with no hidden fees; pressing it charges your wallet balance and unlocks the install prompt in the same second. There is no checkout redirect, no order form, and no waiting for confirmation email — the wallet is the payment method, which is also what makes refunds fast and clean.
Every purchase creates an order record visible in your member center's order history, with the Skill name, amount, date and install status. Buyers cannot purchase their own listings (the button is disabled), and duplicate purchases of the same Skill are blocked — if you already own it, the button reads Install instead.
Refunds exist because previews cannot show everything. Within 72 hours of purchase, and with fewer than three installs of the Skill, you can self-serve a refund from order history or request one via a ticket. When a refund is granted, the creator's earned commission is automatically clawed back from their balance, so the economics stay honest on both sides of the trade.
Wallet & withdrawals
The wallet is the financial core of your account. It holds your balance — the spendable funds from top-ups, sales, invite bonuses and overrides — and a commission ledger that itemizes every credit and debit with amount, rate, linked order and timestamp. Click any ledger row to see the full breakdown of where the money came from or went.
Money moves in real time. When you buy a Skill, the balance drops the instant the install unlocks. When someone buys your Skill, 70% of the sale lands in your wallet before the buyer's page finishes refreshing. When a friend registers through your invite link, the $5 bonus is credited immediately. When a buyer refunds, the linked commission is deducted automatically. There is no batch settlement to wait for — the ledger always reflects the present.
Withdrawals are available for any amount of $10 or more. Submit a request from the wallet panel with your preferred payout channel; our team reviews it within 24 hours and settles within 7 days. If a request is rejected — usually an account-verification issue — the full amount returns to your balance and the rejection reason is attached to the request record. Nothing is ever silently withheld.
Two integrity rules protect the ledger. First, refund clawbacks: if one of your sales is refunded, its commission is deducted from your balance (if the balance is insufficient, the deficit carries forward against future earnings). Second, self-dealing detection: purchases that loop money between related accounts to farm invite overrides or inflate install counts are reversed, and repeat attempts can freeze the accounts involved.
Selling & commissions
Anyone can become a seller — there is no invitation tier, portfolio review or minimum follower count. From your member center, open the upload form, and describe your Skill: name, category, a description that tells buyers exactly what output to expect, your proposed price, and up to five preview images. Submissions are reviewed by the curation team within 24–48 hours; you will receive an approval, a rejection with reasons, or a request for changes.
Approved listings go on sale with a 70/30 revenue split in your favor . The 70% is credited to your wallet the moment each purchase completes. The platform's 30% covers hosting and delivery, payment processing, curation review, refund protection and support — there are no additional listing fees, monthly charges or payout fees stacked on top.
Creators keep full control of pricing. Request a repricing any time from the member center; changes apply to new purchases immediately and never affect existing owners. Detail pages carry your changelog, so shipping an improved version is a versioned update rather than a silent edit — buyers see what changed and when, which builds the trust that drives repeat installs.
The wallet panel doubles as your sales dashboard: per-Skill sales counts, conversion from detail-page views, total earnings and the commission ledger. For the full program — including the earnings calculator and payout rules — see Sell & Earn .
Inviting friends
The invite program pays you twice. The first payment is the $5 activation bonus : when someone registers through your personal link or code, it lands in your wallet immediately — no minimum activity required from your friend. The second is the 10% lifetime override : whenever an invited friend makes a sale as a creator, you earn 10% on top of their 70%, paid by the platform from its own share. Your friend keeps their full 70% and pays nothing.
Your invite link is permanently available in the member center's Invite friends panel, alongside your short code for manual entry at registration. The panel also tracks your network: invited accounts, their activation status, and the override earnings each has generated. Overrides are credited in real time together with the underlying sale, so the ledger shows exactly which sale produced which override.
Fair-play rules keep the program honest. Self-referrals and duplicate accounts do not qualify; an account's invite code is fixed at registration (the first code used is the one that sticks), and override loops between related accounts are reversed. These rules exist so that genuine community-building — sharing a tool you actually use — is what gets rewarded.
Custom requests
When the marketplace does not have the Skill you need, custom requests bridge the gap. Submit one from the floating Custom Skill button on any page or from your member center: describe the outcome you want, attach up to five reference screenshots, choose free or paid, and leave a contact method. Requests land directly in the team's queue and in your member center's request list, where you can track status from submission to delivery.
For paid requests, the team replies with a quotation inside your request list. Accepting a quote starts development; declining it closes the request with nothing charged — quoting is always free. Delivered Skills are installed exactly like marketplace Skills, and if you agree, the finished Skill can be listed on the marketplace under your name with the standard 70% commission, turning a one-off internal tool into a recurring earner.
Custom requests also shape the public catalog. Themes that recur across requests get prioritized for official Skills, and requesters who suggested a shipped concept are credited in its changelog. If you find yourself wanting the same nonexistent Skill twice, that is precisely the signal the program is built to catch.
Plans & membership
Membership comes in three tiers, compared in full on the pricing page . Free accounts browse everything and install all free Skills indefinitely. Pro unlocks unlimited installs of the entire premium catalog while subscribed — the right choice once your monthly premium purchases would exceed the subscription price. Founding includes lifetime access to Pro-level features, early access to new tools, and a permanent badge; it is offered in limited waves.
Upgrades apply instantly from account settings and are prorated intelligently — your wallet balance always remains yours to spend regardless of tier. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period rather than mid-cycle, so you never lose days you paid for, and re-subscribing restores Pro features immediately with no penalty.
Discovery & search
Discovery is engineered around outcomes rather than keywords. The search bar accepts natural questions ("launch video for my app"), the category chips filter by output type — Web, Video, Slides, Images — and role-based collections curate lists for designers, founders, marketers and content creators. Editor-curated filters such as Best of the week are refreshed continuously from install velocity and retention signals, not paid placement. Sort controls expose newest, most-installed and top-rated ordering, and every listing card previews its output so you can judge quality before clicking.
Themes & language
The entire site supports four themes — a dark default plus three carefully tuned light and tinted variants — switched from the palette control in the navigation bar. Theme choice is remembered per browser and applied instantly, including on every panel and dialog. The interface ships in English and Chinese, toggled from the same control; the translation layer covers navigation, listings, member center and admin surfaces, and long-form articles like this one remain in their original language for reading fidelity.
Safety & security
Skills are text packages, which inherently limits what they can do — but curation still matters. Every submission is reviewed before listing, every listing displays its original prompt before purchase, and reported listings are re-reviewed within one business day. Accounts are protected by hashed credentials, sign-in rate limiting, and Google one-tap for those who prefer delegating auth to Google. Administrators cannot sign in through the public site, and financial actions — purchases, payouts, refunds — are recorded with both sides of the transaction so disputes can always be reconstructed from the ledger.
Frequently asked questions
Can I switch between single purchases and Pro? Yes, freely. Single purchases remain yours forever even while subscribed; Pro simply removes the per-Skill price while it is active.
What happens to my earnings if I stop selling? Nothing. Your balance, ledger and invite overrides persist; you can withdraw any amount above $10 at any time.
Are invite bonuses capped? There is no cap on the number of invited friends. Bonuses and overrides follow the fair-play rules described above.
Who sees my custom request? Only the SkillKit team working your request. It is never published unless you choose to list the delivered Skill.
Where do I report a listing that misbehaves? Use the report control on its detail page or open a ticket — reports are re-reviewed within one business day.
